| As a member of the Cabin Crew team, the Inflight Chef provides expertise to support the Cabin Manager and the Crew on all food related matter onboard.
This role also champions guest satisfaction in the areas of design, presentation, quality, hygiene and service delivery standards by participating in the development of the onboard food and beverage product. |
Job Description | - Adhere to all company policies and company issued manuals, ensure all safety procedures are followed and ensuring a safe cabin environment
- Report writing
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Ensuring food and beverages are served at the correct temperatures and presented according to the service standards
- Oversee and accountable for the catering loading and food quality in First Class
- Experienced and knowledgeable of all food items, beverages and cocktails that are offered onboard
- Participate in the development of menu design, wine selection and galley loading
- As requested, participates in ground duties at the catering centre, VJG lounges, corporate functions and PR events

Qualifications and Knowledge | - Qualified Chef
- Educated to a minimum level of accredited secondary education or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English (Others would be an advantage)
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards would be an advantage

Requirements | - Minimum age of 21 years
- Maintains a corporate image
- Medically fit to meet regulatory requirements
- Ability to swim at least 25 metres unaided in open water, without a floatation aid
- Must successfully complete initial training program as a condition of employment and maintain a cabin crew license
- Must be able to reach 160cms without shoes
